Postman Runs Successful PR Campaign for Herne Hill Velodrome Pavilion Opening

Postman Sports Communications has recently been busy at work running a press campaign for the Grand Opening of the new Exodus Travels pavilion at the historic Herne Hill Velodrome, in London. Having been brought in to devise a PR plan and to arrange the media around the launch day, activity reached its peak on the day of the opening, 30th March, where Postman generated national coverage for the venue, in print, online and on television.

Coverage gained for the opening included both BBC and ITV London covering the day on live broadcast, together with several national media outlets as well as local publications covering the event. The cycling press were also keen to share news of the launch, with coverage from Rouleur, Cyclist, Cycling Weekly and to name a few.

“Working on the PR launch of the Herne Hill Velodrome pavilion was an exciting and rewarding process given all of the hard work that many people have put into the project to get the velodrome to where it is today,” explained Tom Copeland, project lead and Executive Postman. “Through out network of contacts we managed to generate a large amount of coverage int he run up to the event, on the day, and then in the days after as well.
